Red Rock Outdoor Gear Large Assault Pack Unboxing Review

Hi everyone! I’m so excited to have received my bug out bag backpack in olive green that I ordered from Amazon and I did an unboxing video review with commentary below it.

Things I loved about the Red Rock Outdoor Gear Large Assault Pack were:

1.) It’s soft and comfortable, but feel durable. I didn’t want anything too stiff but I also wasn’t looking for anything that felt like it’s fall apart in an instant.

2.) It opens up flat like a suitcase for easier packing. I don’t have to stuff survival supplies in from the top – I can open it up, arrange everything strategically, and zip it back together.

3.) It has a gazillion straps where you can attach more items.  For people capable of carrying more, this is a dream luxury. I’m not sure how much I could actually hoist around since I’m out of shape.

4.) It has a mesh area to include a hydration bladder.

5.) There are several pocketed or zippered areas so I can separate supplies as needed to keep them safe and in tip top shape.

6.) I love the color – it will help keep us hidden well. I don’t want my family carrying hot pink backpacks as their bug out bag. Seems foolish to me. I want to blend in with the outdoors.

7.) The bag itself is lightweight. Some backpacks are very heavy to me, and this one isn’t flimsy, but it’s not too draining to carry.

Really happy with the purchase. I’ll be buying 3 more of these (maybe 4 if I get my Mom one).

What’s your 72-hour bug out bag look like?

Tiff 😉
