The Best All-in-One NOAA Weather and Emergency Radio for Survival

Hi everyone! I live in tornado alley, and a couple of years ago, we went through a terrifying experience. I’m going to share with you what happened and what I bought immediately afterwards – and why there’s a BETTER (money saving) purchase you can make today. Watch the video and then look at the links and comments about the differences below…

The one I bought was the American Red Cross FRX3 Hand Crank NOAA AM/FM Weather Alert Radio with Smartphone Charger and it was under $45, which was nice and all.

But the iRonsnow IS-088 Dynamo Emergency Solar Hand Crank Self Powered AM/FM/NOAA Weather Radio, LED Flashlight, Smart Phone Charger Power Bank with Cables is over half that price (under $20) and as far as I can tell, has ALMOST everything and does ALMOST everything the one I own does!

So yeah, I’d probably save the money and go with iRonsnow if I lived in blizzard or hurricane areas where we have ample time for preparation and notification. Both are rated really well, both are hand crank, both have solar power, both can charge your cell phone, both have LED Flashlights.

However…there are some things mine does that I don’t think the other does. For example, if I put mine on Alert, then it will automatically alert me and come on if there’s a weather emergency. Mine also has a beacon option. Mine also has a glow in the dark locator built in.

So I like the additional functions (weather alert especially if I’m sleeping and want to be woken up if there’s a tornado brewing in my area and only seconds to get to shelter).

Tiff 😉
